GRIFFIN, Ga. -- One woman is dead after a fire enveloped her Griffin home.
Crews responded to a fire on the 1300 block of Jackson Street around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
According to the Spaulding County Coroner, the body of 75-year-old Jewell Fambro was discovered in the burning home. Fambro was pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities say the cause of death was fire-related.
The Spaulding County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fire.
