SMYRNA, Ga. -- A man who Smyrna Police say killed his wife on Dec. 5 has been arrested in Nevada.
Derrick Williams, 30, was taken into custody overnight in Reno, according to Smyrna Police Officer Mike Smith. Williams was on a bus traveling from Nevada to Sacramento.
Investigators say Smith is responsible for the death of 33-year-old Finesse Dawson. The homicide occurred on Old Spring Road in Smyrna. Police said Williams tried concealing the evidence.
At the time of the killing, authorities issued a warrant for Williams and learned he was taking a bus from Chicago to Sacramento.
An autopsy concluded Finesse Dawson was strangled to death.
Smith said Williams faces charges of murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, concealing a death and marijuana possession.
It is not yet released whether Williams has an attorney.
