ATLANTA -- A large windowpane fell out of the BB&T building at Atlantic Station Wednesday morning, shutting down traffic in the process.
Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones said broken glass from the window was discovered scattered on 17th Street at around 5:30 a.m.
Investigators discovered the windowpane fell from the 24th floor of a nearby building, Jones said. As of 11:20 a.m., broken glass was still hanging from the window,
All westbound lanes of 17th Street were shut down west of Market Street as crews worked to clean up the glass.
Jones said the road will remain closed until the hanging glass in the window is cleaned up.
