COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities are investigating a fatal accident that halted traffic for a couple of hours on Interstate 75 on Monday afternoon.
Authorities say, 24-year-old Fatma E. Shalaby died after she lost control of her her 2010 Nissan Senta while traveling southbound near Delk Road on Interstate 75.
A preliminary investigation shows that Shalaby's car struck a pickup truck driven by 37-year-old Danny Cox. According to reports, the truck was pulling a double-axle trailer full of steel.
Shalaby was pronounced dead on the scene. The other motorists involved were not injured.
