SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities in Chatham County say a fifth man has been arrested in a shooting that left eight people injured at a fair in Savannah on Nov. 3.
U.S. Marshals say 23-year-old Terrance Lasalle Thacker Jr. was arrested Monday. Thacker is charged with making false statements to police to impede their investigation. Authorities say he was also wanted for violating his parole.
Three other men have already been arrested for making false statements to police, and one has been arrested for firing shots at 21-year-old Lajuan Jerome Sloman at the fair.
Authorities say Sloman returned fire and is sought by police on aggravated assault charges.
