KENNESAW, Ga. -- A new law in Kennesaw pushes for the punishment of adults who allow underage drinking in their homes.
According to the AP, adults who are caught letting anyone under 21 years old drink in their private residence or on their property will face a misdemeanor. The offense could bring a fine of up to $300, or six months behind bars.
In a City Council meeting on Tuesday, a vote was taken regarding the new ordinance. It was voted in favor 4 - 0, one person was absent.
