AUSTELL, Ga. -- Investigators believe alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors in a Cobb County crash that claimed the life of a 25-year-old man and injured three teenagers early Thursday.

The crash happened at the intersection of South Gordon Road and Songwood Drive in Austell. Police said the driver lost control in a curve and struck a curb. The car spun around, left the roadway and hit a tree, ejecting three people.

Michael A. Rogers of Atlanta was killed, while 18-year-old Thomas Dawson of Atlanta, 18 year-old David C. Shepard Jr. of Austell and 19-year-old Najhel J. Fuller of Smyrna were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 770-499-3910.
