ATLANTA -- You may not have to pay as much at the pump this holiday.

We found three gas stations in Johns Creek selling regular unleaded for $2.99.  And some warehouse clubs in the Atlanta area were even cheaper.

So what's driving prices down? Garrett Townsend with AAA South says "Well, not a whole lot going on in the international scene per say that can usually affect gas prices, also the winter blend is less costly to produce so consumers are able to save money at the pump."

Triple-A predicts more people will travel by car this Christmas compared to last since air travel has become more expensive.

In metro Atlanta, the average for regular has dropped 7 cents in the last week and 12 cents in the last month, but it's still slightly higher than the average this time last year.
