Milk prices could soon skyrocket

(WXIA) -- Lawmakers are running out of time to address the Federal Farm Bill.

If the bill is not approved, the price of milk could double, increasing to as much as $8 a gallon.

Failure to pass the bill before it expires on Jan. 1 means the U.S. Farm Policy would revert back to the Agriculture Act of 1949, which would increase milk prices based on inflation.
