DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James was sworn in for his second term Thursday.
"I am honored to serve the people of DeKalb County as their district attorney," James said in a statement. "I remain committed to seeking justice for every victim and in every case. I thank the voters for entrusting me with the responsibility and duty that comes with this office."
James' second term will officially begin Jan. 1.
Nicole Marchand Golden was also sworn in Thursday as DeKalb County's Chief Assistant District Attorney. She and James were sworn in by DeKalb County Judge Gregory Adams.
The county's other Chief Assistant D.A., Don Geary, announced his resignation earlier this month. Geary left DeKalb for a similar position in Cobb County.
