PASADENA, Calif. -- Marietta's Lassiter Marching Trojan Band got to play for the whole nation Tuesday in the Rose Parade.
"We are honored to represent Lassiter High School, our Lassiter community, Marietta, and the state of Georgia in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day 2013," Director of Bands Alfred L. Watkins said on the band's website. "The students have been working very hard to prepare for the five and a half mile parade on New Year's Day."
It was the band's fourth Rose Parade appearance. Their first was exactly 25 years ago.
"They are a force to be reckoned with," parade co-host Al Roker said during their performance. "They look good, they sound great!"
