ATLANTA -- Happy New Year and happy birthday to little Farron Harrison-Chandler. According to officials at Piedmont Hospital the 7 lbs, 13 ounce baby boy is the first child born in Atlanta in 2013.
His mom, Farryn, was scheduled for a Caesarian section this coming Friday, but realized late Monday her new arrival wasn't going to wait for that appointment.
"My husband went to the store and I called him and said 'I think you'd better get back here right away," said Farryn Harrison-Chandler.
Dad, Cedrick Chandler, couldn't stop smiling as he held his new son. He said having their son at the strike of midnight is just an added blessing.
"What a wonderful way to start the new year with the greatest gift I've ever received," said Chandler.
