Bartow County Board of Education Vice Chair Angela Cornett
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Police say the vice chair of the Bartow County school board is free on bond after hitting a teenager with her SUV in a dispute over a Walmart parking space.
An unidentified 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking space Friday trying to save it for a friend who had recently given birth.
Police say the teen and 41-year-old Angela Cornett argued before Cornett hit the girl with her car. Authorities say the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras in the parking lot.
Officials say the teen had a scuff mark to her knee, but did not suffer any serious injuries.
Cartersville is about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.
