SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Former vice president Al Gore has joined the list of celebrity authors scheduled to attend the Savannah Book Festival in February.
The former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize winner will speak at the 2013 Savannah Book Festival at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Telfair Square, reports the Savannah Morning News. There is no fee to attend.
Gore will speak for 40 minutes about his latest book, "The Future," then spend 20 minutes answering questions submitted on note cards by audience members, the paper said.
"It's amazing," said Ann Higbee, Savannah Book Festival vice president. "From the festival's point of view, it's a very exciting development.
Other authors scheduled to attend are: James Patterson, David Baldacci, T.C. Boyle, Dave Barry, Jeff Kinney, Bobby Deen and Gregg Allman.
