It is not too late to get vaccinated for the flu, even if you've already come down with one strain of the virus.

For adults, the vaccine is available at grocery and drug stores all over metro Atlanta, but the price varies quite a bit.

CVS and Walgreen's both charge $31.99 for the shot.
At Publix it is $30.00 and at Rite Aid the vaccine is $29.99.

Flu vaccine is also available at Kroger stores for $25.00.   Local county health departments also charge $25 but offer a sliding scale for low income residents.

The lowest price we found in metro Atlanta was $16.99 at Costco.
Costo's pharmacy is open to the public, even for those who don't have a membership.

Also keep in mind many insurance plans cover the flu shot.

If you do get the flu, the prescription drug Tamiflu can cost  about $100.
