BUCKHEAD -- Deering Road will be closed for the next six months while crews rebuild a bridge behind the Brookwood Amtrak station. The closure is sending ripple effects through an already congested area.
Drivers say traffic on adjacent Peachtree Street is more congested than ever and turning West on to 25th or 26th Street toward Northside Drive is near impossible.
But commuters aren't the only ones struggling. Brookwood residents are dealing with increased traffic volume which they say is endangering neighborhood children.
So, the City is stepping in to take action. Action that will help some and hurt others. Commuter Dude takes a look at both sides.
