Rescue crews work to free a woman trapped between two buildings in Portland, OR (KGW)

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Rescue crews have freed a woman wedged between two buildings early Wednesday morning.

According to Portland NBC station KGW, the woman was seen on a second story smoking area at about 3:45 a.m. A witness told KGW the woman was climbing on a wall before apparently falling into a tight space between the two buildings.

Firefighters first tried a rope rescue before deciding to cut through a parking garage wall, according to KGW. They said she was alert and agitated, but did not appear to be seriously injured.
