United jets hit wingtips at Dulles Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Two United Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft touched wings at Dulles Airport Thursday afternoon.

United Flight 951, arriving from Brussels was moving into position at Gate C-12, when one of its wingtips hit the wingtip of an empty plane parked at an adjacent gate, according to an FAA spokesperson.

Passengers on Flight 951 departed their plane without incident. No injuries were reported.
