ATLANTA -- Atlanta police are searching for a man who posed as a fire marshal to extort hundreds of dollars from restaurants in Lenox Square.

"On January 3rd, a white male masquerading as a Fire Marshall 'inspected' three restaurants in the Lenox Mall food court" -- Subway, Which Wich and Great Wraps, according to Sgt. Greg Lyon.

At each location, Lyon said the suspect demanded $300 for a fake inspection, which employees paid from their registers.

On Friday, police released surveillance video of the suspect on YouTube. Anyone who recognizes the man wearing a blue pullover with white stripes is asked to contact Zone 2 investigators at (404) 816-7067 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
