ATLANTA -- The Powerball jackpot drawing, which is set for Saturday, is now up to $176 million.
According to Kimberly Starks of the Georgia Lottery Corp., the $176 drawing could go to a single annuity winner if all numbers match up.
If a win happens on Saturday, winners can choose between two options to receive their prize. The $176 jackpot can be paid out over 29 years in 30 graduated payments, or the cash option can be chosen, which comes out to about $111 million.
Starks said the jackpot has rolled nine times, and has been on the rise since December 29.
On Wednesday, there was a winner of $10,000, who purchased the winning ticket from the Georgia Lottery kiosk in Terminal South of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.
Powerball tickets are $2 each, and proceeds go to benefit education throughout Georgia.
