ATLANTA -- Many people are reporting that Bank of America's services -- incuding their website, mobile site, mobile app and 800 number -- were unavailable on Friday afternoon.
Bank of America officials say they are aware of the situation and are working to restore services as rapidly as possible.
"We're addressing the issue as quickly as possible," said Mark Pipitone, Bank of America technology and operations spokesman in a statement. "We're also working closely with our customers to help them alleviate any concerns."
According to some reports, services had been unavailable since Friday morning.
Twitter responses from many individuals shared the frustration they have for the situation.
From @Ana_C_Varela: "How weird! My faith in this bank is also temporarily unavailable. #bankofamerica"
From @Nosmif: "@BankOfAmerica on Grattiot said their entire system was shut down..."
From @MelCarson: "@BankofAmerica says its site is down temporarily and asks me if I want to give them feedback via a survey. How can this happen in 2013??!"
Bank of America's Facebook page says they are experiencing some technical issues.
"We are experiencing some technical issues. We are working to resolve them as soon as possibel. Thank you for your patience," the Facebook post says.
