Fact or Fiction? Brown eggs are more expensive than white eggs. They are also more nutritious.
Answer: Fiction! The Georgia Egg Board says both types have the same nutritional value. Brown eggs come from a different breed of chicken than white eggs, which is why the shell is a different color.

Fact or Fiction? Prepackaged lettuce can cost 300 percent more than unpackaged lettuce.
Answer: Fact! A head of Romaine will vary in price from $1.59 to $2.99 and weighs about a pound. Bagged or clamshell packaged lettuce can cost double or triple the price yet contain only about 7 or 8 ounces of lettuce.
Fact or Fiction? Beef tenderloin roast is simply filet mignon that has not been sliced into steaks.
Answer: Fact! The Georgia Beef Board says both types of meat come from the tenderloin portion of a steer. But the price can vary greatly. Kroger recently had whole tenderloins on sale for $7.99 a pound. They can be cut into steaks for a savings of up to $11 a pound compared to buying tenderloin steaks or filet mignons in stores for up to $19.99 per pound.
Fact or Fiction? Ground beef has more fat than ground turkey:
Answer: Fiction! Check the fat content of both before purchasing. Fat content in ground meats can vary from 15 percent to one percent depending on whether you are purchasing ground turkey, ground turkey breast, ground chuck, or ground sirloin. Ground turkey is often more expensive than ground beef.
Fact or Fiction? Grocery stores charge more for prescriptions than drug stores.
Answer: Fiction. Grocery stores often discount prescriptions or even offer certain ones free. Prices can vary widely so shop around.
