"I believe someone knows something," a family member who did not wish to be identified told 11Alive on Tuesday afternoon.
The crime happened just outside of the family's home.
"I feel that once the person is caught or comes forward, this will ease the burden," said the family member, referring to the strife being experienced by his family.
Mary Rainwater, a neighbor said, Stewart "seemed like a fairly good man" she said he and his wife had just moved into the neighborhood about a month before the shooting.
"I cant say this is an isolated incident but it was weird how it happened," Rainwater said.
The Hapeville Police Department is offering a $2000 reward to anyone with information on the shooting.
