FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -- The Fayette County Board of Education will hold two public meetings this month to address four possible school closures.
Due to a budget shortfall, the board is considering closing Brooks Elementary, Fayette Middle, Fayetteville Intermediate and Tyrone Elementary.

Before taking action, the board will allow parents, students and community members to make their voices heard at the meetings on Feb. 14 and Feb. 25. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. at the Sams Auditorium at Fayette County High School.
Those who wish to address the board will get the opportunity to sign up to speak beginning at 6 p.m. before each meeting. A list of guidelines for speakers can be found at the Fayette County Board of Education website.
