(WXIA) - NBC Universal's G4 cable network will be rebranded in April under a new agreement with Hearst Magazine's Esquire, into a network that will focus on men.

The new Esquire Network is set to bow on April 22 and in a release Monday, NBC company officials said the new lifestyle network will build upon the existing franchise of the G4 brand, notably the American Ninja Warrior series - which will air its fifth season this summer on the new network and on NBC - and on other franchises to be developed.

New programming for the Esquire Network will include Knife Fight, a cooking competition show between young chefs, and The Getaway, featuring noted travel host and author Anthony Bourdain.

The Esquire Network will also provide off-network homes for such rerun fare as Starz's Party Down and NBC's Parks & Recreation.
