RICHLAND, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in south Georgia that left three people dead.
A fire engulfed a home on Caboose Street in Richland Sunday evening and officials with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation say the body of 87-year-old Willie Peal Walton was found in the back of the house.
Officials say two others, 65-year-old Barbara Ann Walton and 59-year-old Ernest Clyde Walton, were found lying in their beds.
The cause of the blaze was unclear Monday afternoon.
Richland is about 35 miles southeast of Columbus.
