ATLANTA, Ga. -- Authorities have arrested two people they say are responsible for five pedestrian robberies that occurred early on Valentine's Day.

According to a release from Atlanta Police, one suspect will be charged with five counts of armed robbery, five counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and five counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Charges on the other suspect are unspecified.

The robberies occurred on: Avon Avenue SW, Metropolitan Parkway SW, the 1500 block of Piedmont Avenue,  the 1200 block of West Peach Street and Tenth Street at Argonne.

Victims provided statements and assisted investigators with information that helped them track down stolen items that belong to all five victims. The Atlanta Police Department has chosen not to release the names of the suspects or their photos because an investigation is ongoing.
