"Chipper was a Brave from the beginning to the end of his career, and his legacy will forever live in our record books," Atlanta Braves president John Schuerholz said in a statement. "There is no greater honor that we can bestow upon him than to induct him into our Hall of Fame and retire his iconic number 10."

Jones will join a select list of former Braves to have their numbers retired, including Hank Aaron (44), Greg Maddux (31), Tom Glavine (47) and John Smoltz (29).

During his 19 years with the Braves, Jones was an eight-time National League All-Star, a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner and the only switch hitter in Major League Baseball history to hit at least 300 home runs.

Tickets for Jones' induction ceremony are available on the Braves' website.
