ATLANTA -- A wreck involving a Clayton County police officer inside the airport tunnel just before 3 a.m. closed three right lanes of eastbound Interstate 285 for a time Wednesday morning.
Clayton County police say the officer was sitting in his patrol car on a traffic stop with a tractor trailer when a second truck struck his vehicle.
The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The affected lanes were all open by 5 a.m.
