VILLA RICA, Ga. -- A Villa Rica father gave new meaning to the term "home delivery" when his wife went into labor on their bedroom floor.

Shane Copeland was on the job for GreyStone Power when his wife texted to say she was having contractions.

She wasn't due until the next day.

"I was having contractions, but they weren't nothing to be worried about I didn't think," said Jennifer Copeland.

Moments after getting home, Shane Copeland was on the phone with a Carroll County emergency dispatcher.

"Do you see the child coming out?" the dispatcher asked.

"Yes, yes," Copeland said.

"Adrenaline was going," said Copeland. "A bunch of guys here said they would have passed out."

Copeland remained on the line with the dispatcher until little Palin Copeland came into the world. He credited his training with GreyStone with helping him stay calm.

"He's good at situations like that," said his wife. "He's not a person that freaks out or anything."

Palin is healthy and happy, but the Copeland's have decided she will be their last child.

Lucky for her, while doctors don't make house calls, dad does.
