DACULA, Ga. -- A domestic dispute between a man and a woman ended in one fatality on Friday morning in Dacula.
According to Cpl. Jake Smith, officers responded to a murder at 2656 Kachina Trail around 10:15 a.m. When they arrived, they took the shooting suspect into custody in the front yard of the home.
He has been identified as 60-year-old Egbert Courtney.
Police entered the home, and found Courtney's wife, Sonia Courtney, 58, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives determined the shooting happened during an argument between the couple.
Egbert Courtney has been charged with aggravated assault, felony murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. He is in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
