(USA Today) -- If Dennis Rodman, Gary Busey and LaToya Jackson can appear on Celebrity Apprentice, why can't a former House speaker and Republican presidential candidate?
Newt Gingrich was asked by Laura Ingraham on her radio show Wednesday if he'd ever consider being on Donald Trump's reality show. The subject came up because Trump will be speaking next week at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.
"Oh sure," Gingrich replied, noting he's known "The Donald" for years. "Republicans would be so much better off and relaxed (to) go on shows like that and be interesting."
Gingrich has defended the real estate developer/reality TV host before and agreed to appear in a Trump-moderated debate during the GOP primary season. Trump bowed out of moderating the event, and ended up endorsing Mitt Romney in the 2012 election.
Let's not forget that former House majority leader Tom DeLay, an ex-Gingrich deputy, was on Dancing with the Stars - so anything is possible, right?
