Horn honking and hand gestures are common now on Cheshire Bridge Road.

ATLANTA -- Lanes have somewhat recently been re-striped on Cheshire Bridge Road near the entrance to I-85. And while that may sound like a good thing, some drivers say the new alignment is causing a lot of close calls.

The problem, according to 11Alive viewer Brian Demenick, is an abrupt lane shift that forces drivers quickly to the left. Someone who isn't paying close attention, can easily find themselves scraping paint with an adjacent driver.

So, we contacted the City of Atlanta's Department of Public Works, and they have filed a work order to work out the problems there.
