DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- The DeKalb County Mobile Career Center, better known as the "jobs bus" is back and the 11Alive Help Desk wants you to get on!
Since the February 2012 launch, the jobs bus has been focused on putting DeKalb County residents back to work. In support with the ONE DeKalb Works, the mobile career center provides county citizens with a variety of work readiness services.
Funded through the Workforce Investment Act Grant, the jobs bus services are free.
The services include workshops, training, job search assistance, advice on composing resumes and interview pointers. However, job seekers are not the only people to benefit from the jobs bus. In addition, businesses can also take advantage of this opportunity for recruitment, pre-employment screenings, interviewing and training.
The Mobile Career Center is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. through the 26-28 of March. On Thursday, March 28, the jobs bus will be held at Decatur's Wesley Chapel Library instead of Le Cordon Bleu due to the college's Spring Break schedule.
