Marietta, Ga. -- A three-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Marietta killed one person and injured another.
According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 75 northbound at the Canton Connector, just after 9:30 a.m.
A driver of a Honda Civic heading north was struck by a vehicle changing lanes. The impact spun the Civic into the path of a Ford Expedition, hitting the vehicle's driver's side.
The driver of the Civic was killed. There was another person riding in that same car, who was taken to Kennestone for treatment.
Later Thursday afternoon, Georgia State Patrol identified the man killed as 41-year-old Edgar Jaramillo of Lawrenceville.
The wreck is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team. Charges are pending at this time.
The name of the passenger has yet to be released.
