CONLEY, Ga. -- Police are trying to find three men who may be responsible for shooting and killing another man in Clayton County.
The body of James Daniel Evers was found Thursday at a house on Rock Cut Road in Conley.
Witnesses told police they saw three men run from the scene after the shooting. They got away in a green late 1990s or early 2000s Mercury Mountaineer that may have had a Fulton County tag.
One person tried to follow the suspects until the men in the Mercury began shooting, according to Clayton County Police Officer Danielle Rosa. The witness was not hit.
Anyone with information in Evers' death or who can identify the suspects is asked to call 911 or Clayton County police at 770-472-8110.
