Resource Guide: CHOA Launches Online Portal for Concussion Awareness

The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) online portal has recently launched, and provides videos and downloads that allow users to better understand and manage concussions:


Per CHOA, following a head injury, the following symptoms should be watched for:


  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Balance problems
  • Dizziness
  • Visual problems
  • Fatigue
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Sensitivity to noise
  • Numbness or tingling
  • Feeling mentally foggy
  • Feeling slowed down
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Difficulty remembering
  • Irritability
  • Sadness
  • More emotional
  • Nervousness
  • Drowsiness
  • Trouble falling asleep
  • Sleeping more than usual
  • Sleeping less than normal
