ATLANTA -- Former Braves pitcher Rick Camp has passed away.

The 60-year-old Trion, Georgia native played for the team from 1976 until 1985.

Camp is most well know for hitting a game-tying home run in a game against the New York Mets on July 4, 1985 - that went 18 innings and ended shortly after 4 am.

The Braves released a statement on Thursday afternoon, that said in part:

Our sympathies go out to his family, friends and former teammates.

It was the only home run of his career.

In 2005, Camp was sentenced to three years in federal prison, for conspiring to steal more than $2 million from the Community Mental Health Center in Augusta.

Camp died of natural causes.
