During her signoff, Davis noted her coverage of President Obama's 2008 inauguration, Coretta Scott King's funeral, the passing of Hosea Williams and her weekly "Wednesday's Child" segment as high-notes of her 26 year long career at Fox 5.
Notable Atlantans like former WSB anchor Monica Pearson, V-103 disc jockey Ryan Cameron and Ambassador Andrew Young wished Davis goodwill on her retirement.
Davis' retirement comes after a DUI arrest in November 2012. This was the only time she has appeared on the air since then. She did not mention her pending court case.
