(WXIA) - Sirius XM listeners may be hard-pressed to find some of their favorite radio stations over the next week as the satellite radio giant reorganizes its channel lineups and adds some stations.
SiriusXM unveiled a new channel lineup to customers Thursday, which are set to take effect on May 8.

The lineup changes include moving some channels so that music from the same overall genres end up in the same area, and the moves will also make room for some channel additions. Entertainment Radio and Comedy Central Radio are slated to join the lineup later this month - Entertainment Radio on Channel 105 and Comedy Central on Channel 95.
Listeners on XM will be able to hear music, news and information from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for the first time as CBC Radio One, CBC Radio 3 and several other Canadian channels join the service. CBC content has been on Sirius since its inception in 2002. The two services merged in 2008.
SiriusXM says the moves will streamline the service, and, in many cases, allow the same channel numbers for most channels on both platforms. Some channels have been eliminated for the move, including World Radio Network and Playboy Radio.
