ATLANTA -- An Atlanta woman is in stable condition after being shot through a window Wednesday morning.
Atlanta Police Capt. Tim Peek said the woman was sitting in her Clifton Road home, reading and working on a puzzle, when someone shot through the window at around 4:40 a.m.
The victim, who is in her 60's, was struck in the face, but is expected to make a full recovery.
One other person was home at the time of the shooting, according to Peek. That person was not injured.
Although police have not yet named any suspects, the victim's family had apparently been the target of recent threats, Peek said. Someone had made harassing phone calls to a person living in the home.
The investigation into the shooting continues.
