Memorial Day Weekend Salute to the Troops

Stone Mountain Park is honoring troops and their families with a three-day Memorial Day event featuring free concerts, the Lasershow Spectacular, special fireworks finale, and other patriotic activities. Active and retired military personnel get a free Adventure Pass plus discounts for their family.
Memorial Day at Callaway Gardens

Callaway Gardens is kicking off summer 2013 with a special Memorial Day Weekend Festival featuring the 54th Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament and a lot of other fun attractions including live music, beach activities, a circus performance, a pyrotechnic night jump by the U.S. Army Silver Wings parachute Team, a custom car show, and the Callaway Gardens Farmers Market. Active and retired military receive 50% off gate pricing for themselves and 5 passengers.
Veteran's Remembrance Day

Where: Atlanta History Center
Spend a day in the company of veterans and hear their stories of wartime through personal accounts and memorabilia. This program is free for members of the History Center, and included in general admissions for non-members.

The Town Center Park will be featuring live music and this event is free, although attendees are encouraged to bring canned food for donations.

The 25th Annual Decatur Arts Festival will be held in the Old Courthouse Square and surrounding streets in Downtown Decatur, Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, 2013. With more than 165 artists displaying their work and musical entertainment, there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. The festival has been named a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society since 2004. The event is free to the public.

The Peach State Memorial Bike Rally is a fun family and bikers weekend with bike shows, bands, rides, biker games and most of all is in honor of those who have given so much for this country.
Peach State Memorial Bike Rally is proud to be certified as an official donator to "The Wounded Warrior Project". In addition to "The Wounded Warrior Project" five local non-profit organizations will also receive proceeds from this event, they are the Newnan-Coweta Art Association, Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Newnan-Coweta Jaycees, Coweta County 4-H Clubs and the Pilot Club of Newnan
A single day pass is $15-$20 and three-day pass is $30-$35.

A large display of historical memorabilia and military uniforms is now on display at the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park. This free event allows attendees to take a step back in time, also with a cannon demonstration taking place daily at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Ride for America
When: Monday, May 27 - Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., Ride begins at 9:30 a.m.
Where: American Legion Post 233, 4635 Atlanta Hwy, Loganville
Cost: $10 per rider, $5 per passenger
Loganville's American Legion Post 233 will host its annual Ride for America to raise money for the Legacy Fund, which provides scholarships for children of fallen soldiers since September 11.
