GAINESVILLE, Ga--DNR Police are searching  for a possible pontoon-boat involved in a hit-and -run crash off Old Federal Park on Lake Lanier around midnight Friday.

Sergeant Greg Colson, of the Department of Natural Resources, says two occupants on a  See-Doo jet boat were injured when their boat was struck by another watercraft that fled the scene. Colson says the unidentified victims, who were lawfully operating their boat under running-lights, were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where they remain in stable condition.

Investigators believe the boat involved in the crash sustained significant damage, including a broken windshield. It may also have  yellow and white "transfer paint" on it from the boat it impacted .

Police are asking anyone with information to call DNR at 404-276-1759.
