ATLANTA -- It appears business is going well for AT&T and that only means "good news" for those living in metro Atlanta who are desperately searching for a job.
Nearly one thousand positions are up for grabs.
"We have customers that depend on us - they expect great service," said Lance Skelly, director of corporate communications for AT&T. "They expect a great network - they expect the latest and greatest technology - and to do that we have to have the best people."
Skelly said the company is looking to hire more than 900 workers here in the metro and across the state.
"Those run the gamut - anywhere from construction to engineering to support staff to sales," said Skelly.

"Retail - we've got jobs in public relations, marketing," said Skelly. "So, really there are positions across the entire gamut."

"Experience helps. It's just like any position that you would go into," said Skelly. "You definitely want to have a polished applications."
Skelly, who met us that the Lenox Road AT&T store said applicants should always remember.
"You're selling yourself," said Skelly. So definitely you want to come forward and show what you've done and where you are coming from."
