ATLANTA -- According to the FBI, Artavius Brown, the dollar store serial robber and recently identified bank robber has been captured by Atlanta Police in Thomasville Heights Friday night.
Brown was arrested just after 7 p.m. and is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
He had four active warrants out for his arrest.

The FBI had a federal warrant for the arrest of Brown after he took part in 24 armed robberies in metro Atlanta.
Known as the "Dollar Store Bandit", Brown targeted and robbed Family Dollar stores and Dollar General stores in four different counties.
The FBI got involved after Brown robbed a bank at gunpoint. FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett said Brown walked into the PNC Bank on Main Street in Tucker on June 21, 2013. "He advised them he wanted to cash a check, put a book bag up on the counter and from that point on he pulled out a weapon and announced a robbery," he said.
