Gas South employees packed 1,000 sack lunches for needy children as part of Action Ministries' Smart Lunch, Smart Kid program.
ATLANTA -- Employees at Gas South worked together to pack 1,000 sack lunches for children in need as part of the Smart Lunch, Smart Kid program by Action Ministries.
Some of the employees brought their family members to help make a difference.
They gathered at the company's offices on Cumberland Boulevard on Wednesday.
The sack lunches were later delivered directly to children who normally rely on free or reduced-price lunches during the school year.
Action Ministries hopes to feed at least 200,000 children across north Georgia through the 2013 Smart Lunch, Smart Kid outreach.
