ATLANTA -- This weekend, people all across the country will be making their way towards Washington D.C. to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
Some of those people will be from right here in Atlanta as members of Ebenezer Baptist Church are headed to the Nation's Capital to celebrate the historic event.
For one of the church members, this is a trip 50 years in the making.
"My mother wanted us to get exposed to what was to come," said Gail Hollin, who attended the first March back in 1963. "(She wanted us) to experience the March and to experience the change that was going to come. "
