VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Was Kendrick Johnson murdered? That's the question being asked in down-state Valdosta.
Johnson, 17, was found dead in a rolled-up wrestling mat in the Lowndes County High School gymnasium this past January. His death was ruled accidental, but his family was granted permission to exhume the body in May.

An independent autopsy report now says the high school teen died from an "unexplained, apparent non-accidental blunt force trauma."
That assessment contradicts the original autopsy.
The attorney for the teen's family has sent the independent autopsy report to federal and state authorities for review.
