"It's like Disneyland or Disneyworld for adults, it's on that scale in terms of set design, and amazing feeling of being in a vacation landscape," said Project Manager Shawn Kent. "It's something of a completely different level that here in the US we're not really used to."
After Tomorrowland creator Micheel Beers announced plans to expand beyond Europe, invitations came from countries all over the world. They settled on Fairburn because it was close to the world's busiest airport and had the landscape they wanted. The 8000 acre plot is owned by a Belgian carpet manufacturer.
"It's really a fantastic area surrounded by nature where people can walk in and forget everything around him for three days," Beers said.
