The "Forever" stamp is part of the Postal Service's Music Icons series, which has honored Tejano singer/guitarist Lydia Mendoza and country legend Johnny Cash.
On Monday, which would have been the late singer's 83rd birthday, "First Day of Issue" events will be held at Atlanta's Morehouse College and the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
